You can expect demos and comparisons of new and not-so-new gear, all with plenty of comment and opinion.

Man these cars can play! It’s nice seeing the gear I love and own at the mercy of someone who can put it through its paces lol
The florist could easily be used a pitch shifter type pedal too hmm and a flanger this might be useful for me
You fellas have taken me to absolute school for these years since I've found your show, and I freaking love you for it every time. All the gratitude, gents.
Jack can play!!! His rythem and melody is so unique it's refreshing to my imagination.
Came here to check out what you guys dialed in with the Keeley Dark Side as I received it in the mail this afternoon. Pretty sure you summoned a Tone Monster at 19:37, GAWD I love a tasty vibe tone.
LOL How do you play the alternate scale - yep thats me, TTYD was the most influential record especially with the tones and inflictions he was playing
Give me black night any day....
Jeeze Mick stop fiddling - sounds awesome
For honest and raw drive and boost pedals Benson can't be beaten 👍
Using a y cable is a little brighter than jumping, I did a shootout a few years ago with my 1959hw. Hundreds of Marshall videos on my channel Hollywood Rare Guitars
I love the Squire Stratocasters the first thing I do when I get one I have had 4 strats so far and I always unflattering the bridge so I can't run tremolo bar but it makes it where it stays in tune better. On the Squire Strat I just got I unfloated bridge before taking My feeler guage and adjusting My string height for Me. Guitar sounds awesome neck pitch is right strings are set specifically for Me I run string height a little different than others I set My top bass strings a little higher than most people like but with 9 size strings there's no fret buzz and string bends are still good. My string hght is about 78 thousandths on the top bass E and on high 70 thousandths if strings any lower I don't like it that's where I like them and set mine up. Fenders are one of My favorite guitars. I would definitely recommend Fender to anyone who is just getting into guitars.
Great video !!! SUBSCRIBED 😊
My first "real" guitar was an 83 strat. Paid $350 for it new. I was 14 years old. Im 55 now and playing my brand new American pro ll strat. It's the 4th American strat i have owned besides the 2 or 3 or more, foreign made strats i have owned. The thing is that the strat is the most popular and easiest to find guitar style in existence. In 84, when I got my first one. It was very accessible and affordable as an American made professional level guitar. The few Gibson guitars on the wall were easily twice the price or more. So, for me, the strat was accessible and affordable besides being desirable and iconic. Even in 1984, it was well established as an iconic design.
Slide Away will be my favorite Ossis song of all time
Why would you want all that bloody bass? Do what you want at home, but in a live situation, you'd just be pissing on others' shoes
Thank you for this ..i just bought a Fuzz Face ..now i get fuzz thanks to you guys🙏🙏
Priceless..❤
MARSHALL DSL 2000.
Chris thanks so much great show. EL34 are such great tubes, cut my teeth on them back in college. Thanks Mick & Dan!
when I was fifteen, I was working a lot, I was kicked out of high school. so as I was working a lot I had a used twin reverb and telecaster, so I named my cats Reverb and Tele, and hearing you say you with have Reverb or you don't have Reverb made me think fondly of Reverb and Tele, Kind of off topic but I love you guys! Keep up the good entertaining work and invite me on the show I need a vacation or holiday.
Eventually, I am going to fix this awful sounding tonestack. Presence at zero isn’t even enough. The power amp is actually great sounding. Nothing wrong there. I’ve got a list of mods in mind but it’s about 10 projects back so it will take awhile.
I’m watching this video for the second time. He seems like such a humble down to earth, fellow. I recently discovered his music, man heard the name over and over, but never went down the rabbit hole. This guy is wonderful.
Gawd I just HATE the sound of those Fender Hot Rods regardless of the particular configuration. They are Fenders greatest selling amp line - but I can’t stand the way their built or how they sound. I owned one once but l hated that ratty thin PCB shreeky board mounted tube socket jive. Definitely not my jam.
Thank you Mick what a great video and please can you tell Matt that I tip my hat for him and salute him for sharing his valuable skilled experience. I really encourage everyone kindly like, comment, subscribe, share and support Mick's channel and Matt Monty channel for their kind efforts and time. Best regards from England.
Thank you kindly!
Wow, Great show guys I love Benson pedals I own the preamp and the boost and now I will be purchasing your latest fuzz next week also you guys the playing was crazy good, great job always!
Describes a vintage Leslie's workings, yet has a leslie in house that's built different 🙃 822 has a rotosonic bass speaker, wich is a speaker inside the baffle. Not an empty drum with speaker mounted above. Produces less low end than the original construct. The rotosonic ramps up and down way slower than a traditional system. It has a stationary speaker mounted above it for the subs, but not for the rotary channel. Also the rotosonic and the top rotor spin in the same direction, as opposed to the vintage leslies. This makes the 822 sound different than the leslies the pedals are based on, albeit slightly.
Thanks for the info. Clearly we’re not very knowledgable about them! Weirdly I was on eBay/Reverb today looking for one! Confused. Mick here.
@@ThatPedalShow I have an 815 for my organ, 822 is Hammond branded, 815 leslie branded, but the same beast. They work like a charm and sound great! The lesser low end would even be good trait for guitar. Just a slightly different beast than the traditional leslies ☺️ They are among the most powerful with over 200 watts though!
I'm not shouting, you're shouting!
I think could have listened to you guys mess with the delay for two hours. Really stunning sounds out of that thing!
Sad if we found out robben had switched the insides with a Roland blues cube or something lol
Here's some fresh research: Dimension effect was meant to give a wide chorus feel without the warble. Phase flipping in the half of the split signals is what gives it depth or breadth, but it's the TRAPEZOID waveform of the LFO that gets rid of the warble. Also, as nice as it is on guitar, this effect is like washing out your ears when used on keyboards. Everything just sounds grand (in the SDD mode).
Today i picked up a Marshall 1960A from Exeter services, probably one of the best days of my life.
To me, a tone that is expressive and dynamic without being strident, fizzy or shrill MUST have enough midrange. I tend to run my mids a bit boosted and my treble a bit low so that the upper mids are more dominant that the highs - or at least that's how I think of it. The mids provide some of that vocal quality, but you don't want them too high or things start to sound muddy or congested.
Great episode. The Bellringer cleans reminded me of my Trainwreck Express clone. Beautiful sounds from el34s. The Dumble episode was also very similar to the experience people have playing my ‘wreck clone. Absolutely visceral, exposes every thing you do, but majestic when you can control it. Life changing tones. Mick, Epi DG335 update. I’ve had it for a couple months now. Exceptionally well built, feels amazing to play and just sounds so good. Sounds more ‘alive’ then my other 335. Really impressed with it and it’s made me want to play more which is a great change. It’s worth having a go on one if you come across one. Cheers
Nice one Nick! Great that the DG is working out. Super cool machine! On the visceral front, look out for a 100 watt Marshall Super Bass on the channel soon. Bone shaking! :0)
Great guests!!!
Wow that Florist sounds very interesting!
11:32 I LOVE the boring bits.
Fuck me what a noise 🧐🤘😎🤯😍 Now, how do I find £10k..
That’s not true about the show room floor of NAMM. I met you there Andy!!! There was that one and I got to hang out with the great Albert Lee for a few. Like yourself he was a super cool humble guy.
disconnect neck from tone pot is a GEM of a mod...do it to all my Tele's...even my CS and LSL sound better....I have Ask Zach to thank. It even brightens nicely...the middle position. Great video here!
It is possible to put a volume control between the Send and Return jacks. So before the power amp, to provide a Master volume when using the clean channel with pedals.
Check out one of our later vids where we do this… using the Dr Watson Lion Tamer. Cheers!
@@ThatPedalShow Yes, that was what I had in mind. I mentioned it to the guitarist, but it didn't go down too well.
We need a signature Blobble pedal now.
All of it sounded great! The Florist kind of reminds me of the old DynaFlanger… and I dig it!
THIS is the delay I want Chase Bliss to colab with Benson on for an Automatone series delay.
Yes, this.
If ever l needed heart surgery, l hope someone just like Chris was attending. Quietly masterful of his subject, and all possible avenues explored.
Super helpful video guys, i now know why i dont like the tube screamer with my 335 haha.
Speaking of tone....has anyone else listened to Michio Kaku speak? It took me a while to click, but I found Robben's voice sounded so familiar - I think it is because he sounds very much like Michio? A lovely voice. And a spectacular guitar voice too!
I had a lot of reverb pedals…then i tried fractal. It has the best reverb and multi delay ever in my opinion.
I swapped out the clipping diodes in my DS-1, and it made a WORLD of difference! I swapped in a clipping diode from an old vintage OD pedal I have that was broken, and added an LED in series. Made it louder, smoother, and have a wider range in the distortion.
